SATAN’S BOLETE (lat. Boletus satanas)

Satan’s Bolete is poisonous fungus which grows in deciduous forests, as well as on forest clearings, during the summer. It has a compact cap, hemispheric with an in rolled margin, greyish white, as if polished. The stem is white, stumpy, full, wider at bottom, yellow under the cap, turns red lower, due to the red net. The flesh has highly unpleasant smell (the smell of rotten meat), it is tough and fat, light yellow in color.

DEATH CAP (lat. Amanita phalloides)

Death Cap is one of the most poisonous fungi, widely distributed. It causes phylloid poisoning, that is, fatal poisoning (100 % with children). It can cause liver damages and kidney failure due to very toxic poisons amatoxin and alpha amanitin.
